What does this event fund?

AEO raises money for PTO-funded programs like cultural arts, transportation costs, evening programs and literacy challenges. 

All the fun assemblies that our kids love --  like the interactive Nutcracker Ballet, Puppet shows, Touch Tanks, Brazillian Drummers, field trips to musical performances, etc. (which secretly teach art terminology, science concepts, cultural awareness and kindness) -- are partially funded through this event.

Where is my ticket?

Your email confirmation is your ticket. Your registration information has been saved. However, please save a copy of the confirmation email to your phone.  In case there are any discrepancies, you can show it to volunteers at the AEO registration table the night of the event.

Can tickets be purchased at the door on March 25?

No, unfortunately due to the preparation required for each person attending the event (including food, auction paddles, etc) we are unable to accept ticket purchases after Friday, March 17, 2016.

What is the attire for the event?

An Evening Out is a casual event. Think of it as what you would wear to a dinner out with friends.  If in doubt, you can view the pictures from previous AEO events to see what attendees wore:  http://aeo.benhempto.org/photos

 

Can people attend if they do not have children at Ben-Hem?

Absolutely!  If you have a friend or family member who enjoys attending auctions, or know of a Ben-Hem parent alumni who would like to reunite with our community, bring them along.  All are welcome!

 

Are any Ben-Hem teachers attending AEO this year?

Yes!  Our teachers and administrators have shown a lot of support for this important fundraiser.  In addition, many teachers have donated their time to create wonderful experiences for you to bid on for your children. Please see our Ben-Hem Exclusives.

 

When does the bidding start ?

Silent Auction bidding begins at 7 p.m. with sections closing throughout the night until 9:15 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the Live Auction emceed by Meterologist Cindy Fitzgibbons begins.

 

Do people who attend have to bid on items?

You are not required to bid on auction items at the event.  If you just want to come and socialize with others in the Ben-Hem community, you are welcome. We'd love to see you there!

 

What entertainment will be provided at AEO?

This year we will have a live bluegrass band playing throughout the evening.  There will also be refreshments, games, a contest, photos with our beloved mascot, Benny the Bobcat, and more.

Can you bid on items if you are not able to attend?

Sealed bids can be submitted the week before AEO.  Forms will be sent home before the event and must be received by deadline.  Exclusives are not eligible for absentee bids. You can preview donated items at http://aeo.benhempto.org/donations.
